Account Creation

Led the account registration team to redesign the account creation experience for eBay’s buyers and sellers.

    Provided oversight and direction, UI UX and content feedback,

  • Update eBay’s account creation for buyers and sellers. Enhance the user experience, update to newest UI design system and craft the tone of the content to be more friendly and on brand.

    Increase account conversion and make sure our users are set up with the right account type.

  • Design and testing took 6 months

    Recently launched and now providing interactive designs to increase conversion.

  • Increased conversion by 4% and cut down the amount of calls to our customer service team.

    With this success, we are confident to launch to 100% in the US and will be launching to other markets soon.

Identity Verification

Led the re-design of the identity verification experience on native.

  • Design Lead and Manager.

    Provided oversight and direction, UI UX and content feedback,

  • Update eBay’s identity verification process for buyers and sellers.

    Working with the design technology team we utilized the native camera functionality to better scan, capture and detect photo IDs. This technology gave us the ability to let users know when the image was blurry or cut off.

    Our goal was to decrease the number of identity failures and get our customers up and selling and buying again.

New Seller Onboarding

Path to Passwordless

Led the security team to introduce new password-less technology at eBay.

  • Design Lead and Manager.

    Provided oversight and direction, UI UX and content feedback,

  • Provide eBay’s sellers and buyers a more secure and easy way to secure their account and sign in.

    Increase the amount of users using password less sign in.

    Decrease the amount of customer calling customer service b/c they don’t remember passwords.

  • Increased the amount of eBay users who use password less sign in. This set users up with the most secure accounts possible and made signing in frictionless. Passkeys allowed users to sign in without a password, aiding in the decrease in users needing to call customer support for help getting back into their accounts.
